What does Modular Splicing Rigs and Maintenance Kits do?
DESCRIPTIONS
Modular splicing rigs and maintenance kits (TP-5910) are essential tools for telecommunication field engineers and installation professionals performing copper cable splicing, jointing, and repairs. These kits are designed to accommodate a wide range of splicing scenarios, including straight-through, branch, and drop wire configurations. With precision-machined components and modular construction, they provide a stable platform for organized, accurate, and safe cable splicing in both outdoor and indoor environments.
Modular splicing rigs and maintenance kits (TP-5910) is used for termination of max 25 pairs splicing modules. Main compents include:
- Splicing Head is used for initial termination of conductors in the modules. The splice head holds the conductors in their proper locations during the splicing procedure. It can be used to make connections with preterminated modules. The splice head can be set up in a one or two splice head configuration for different applications.
- One hydraulic crimping units can be used with the splice head to crimp the module.
- The support tube and related components provide support for cables and tools while
- splicing is being done.
Designed for mobile use, these systems are foldable and lightweight, supporting on-site deployment in cramped or challenging terrains like manholes, roadside cabinets, rooftops, or indoor telecom closets. The mechanical structure ensures both rigidity and modularity, allowing telecom operators to quickly set up a controlled working environment even in the absence of dedicated splicing booths. Anti-corrosive materials and reinforced joints ensure reliable performance in harsh weather conditions.
MAIN FEATURES
- Modular Framework Design: Allows components like arms, holders, and panels to be added or removed based on specific splicing tasks and working environments.
- Heavy-Duty Tripod Base: Offers firm, stable positioning even on uneven terrain or rooftop platforms.
- Adjustable Mounting Brackets: Equipped with pivot points and locking levers, the mounting brackets can be repositioned to match the cable’s diameter or the type of module being spliced, ensuring stability during fine manipulation.
- Insulation Displacement Support: Precision alignment guides on the rig allow for accurate positioning of IDC modules, ensuring that wires are seated properly and avoid damage to insulation during splicing.
